LanaLou’s, Vancouver BC - April 19 2026

MARKS + The Azul are an East Vancouver singer-songwriter duo who met outside a guitar shop in early 2025 before deciding to start working on music together. Their lyrics are honest and concise and they blend original indie-folktronik-rock with acoustic guitar and electric violin to create what they hope to be an emotionally connected experience for people. ‍

There are a couple of demo tracks up on Bandcamp that Sarah recorded on a TASCAM digital 8 track if you'd like to check them out.

Azul Liberty was born and raised in Vermont. A long-time fiddler and electric violin player, Azul has played and recorded all over the world since the 1960’s.

Sarah Markwick was born and raised is Richmond, BC. She has been playing guitar and singing since she was 15 yrs old, and in 2025 she joined a song-writing collective and began writing her own music.
